Our unit serves the Andover community and is part of the Girl Scout Council of Minnesota & Wisconsin River Valleys.   We consist of 50 troops from Daisy to Senior Level.  We welcome anyone in the Andover area to join.  We are excited you have found us and we hope you will take a little time to check out this site!  If you have questions or comments we'd love to here from you!  To contact us, click here.

** PLASTIC CAPS COLLECTED **

Northwoods Service Unit has joined the Aveda effort in collecting and recycling plastic caps from bottles, jugs, etc. From Aveda website ...

"Often these caps end up as litter or trash and migrate into our rivers and oceans. Birds and other marine creatures mistake them for food with tragic results. The magnitude of this pollution problem is devastating to our oceans and wildlife.
Join the Recycle Caps with Aveda campaign and feel great knowing that your plastic caps will be repurposed into new packaging and kept from entering our waterways and harming wildlife."

SERVICE UNIT POSITIONS OPEN

The SU is looking for a Leader to take the position as Trainer currently held by Diana Orr. Diana can no longer fullfil this position. She will offer training and transition to the new trainer. Please contact Mary Jacobson or Diana Orr if you are interested.

The SU is looking for 2 volunteers to be our Organizer Recruiters. This involves Recruiting girls and adults year-round to be Girl Scouts. Placing all girls interested in joining Girl Scouts in new or existing troops/groups. Planning and carrying out Recruitment events like Come Try Girl Scout Night.   If this sounds like something you would be interested in, the SU could really use your help.  Let me know.
